Storage is based on objects, instead of:

• File systems, which manages data as a files and file hierarchy
• Block storage, which manages data as blocks within sectors and tracks

The size can range from 0 Bytes up to 5 Terabytes.

Every object has the following data:

• Key
• Value
• Version ID, when versioning enabled
• Metadata
  • Content type
  • Content Length
  • Last Modified
  • …
